About the project
A beautiful, expansive backyard lay underutilised within the bounds of this charming 50s home. We re-imagined the layout of spaces to connect the home to the backyard to create a place made for entertaining.
The design solution was to remove the existing kitchen and rear verandah, designing a new extension to reorientate the kitchen. The new space leads directly to a designed outdoor pavillion that perfectly captures the afternoon light, transforming the house so that the kitchen is the beating heart of the family home and entertaining is a breeze.
